Recap - Zips Defeat Central Michigan 17-10

The Chippewas had no answer for Van Edwards, Jr. on Saturday as the Zips rolled to a 17-10 win at InfoCision Stadium.

Central Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to Akron 319-309 yards in Saturday's game. Central Michigan had more first downs as that total ended up 18-17.

Akron lost the time of possession battle 33:28-26:32, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Akron looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against NIU. Central Michigan will aim to get back on the winning track at Eastern Michigan.
