Recap - Wildcats Defeat Southern Miss 24-17

The Wildcats were Week 1 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Golden Eagles by a score of 24-17 at MM Roberts Stadium.

Kentucky lost the offensive yardage battle to Southern Miss 364-254 yards in Saturday's game. Southern Miss had more first downs as that total ended up 19-12.

Kentucky lost the time of possession battle 30:59-29:01, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Kentucky looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Eastern Kentucky. Southern Miss will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Southern University.
