Maine Black Bears vs Vermont Catamounts Recap - Vermont Wins 83-62

The battle between Vermont and Maine didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Maine was handed a 83-62 defeat on Monday at Roy L Patrick Gymnasium.

Vermont got 21 points from Drew Urquhart and another 18 points from Trae Bell-Haynes. Ernie Duncan contributed 6 assists, while Trae Bell-Haynes cleaned the glass with 5 rebounds.

Maine got 19 points from Aaron Calixte in a losing cause and another 18 points from Ilker Er. Aaron Calixte contributed 2 assists for them, while Vernon Lowndes Jr. had 8 rebounds.

Vermont was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Maine had a 31-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Next game, Vermont takes its act on the road to face New Hampshire looking for another win. For Maine, they head home to face Hartford.
