Troy Falls 56-20 to Broncos - Recap

Brett Rypien threw for 305 yards to lead the Broncos over Troy 56-20 on Saturday in Week 1 action at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Boise State was a favorite by -9.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 48.0.

Brett Rypien completed 20 of 28 pass attempts for 305 yards for the Broncos in the win.

Jabir Frye rushed for 41 yards for Troy, while Jamarius Henderson added 30 yards. Kaleb Barker threw for 211 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Deondre Douglas and Damion Willis had 102 and 43 yards respectively.

Troy lost the offensive yardage battle to Boise State 416-379 yards in Saturday's game. Troy had more first downs as that total ended up 21-16.

The time of possession battle favored Troy as their offense was on the field for 34:31, longer than the 22:53 of their opponents.

Next game, Boise State takes its act home to face UCONN looking for another win. For Troy, they head home to face Florida A&M.
