Western Michigan Defeats Buffalo 71-68 - Recap

Jarvion Franklin ran for 176 yards as Western Michigan handled Buffalo by a score of 71-68 on Saturday at UB Stadium.

Western Michigan did not, however, defeat the Bulls against the spread, which closed at -7.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 50.5.

Jarvion Franklin rushed for 176 yards, while LeVante Bellamy added 131 yards in the win. D'Wayne Eskridge and Donnie Ernsberger added 97 and 52 receiving yards respectively.

Theo Anderson rushed for 44 yards for Buffalo, while Emmanuel Reed added 18 yards. Drew Anderson threw for 597 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Anthony Johnson and Kamathi Holsey had 195 and 143 yards respectively.

Western Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to Buffalo 683-645 yards in Saturday's game. Western Michigan had more first downs as that total ended up 33-30.

Buffalo lost the time of possession battle 31:01-28:59, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Western Michigan looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Akron. Buffalo will aim to get back on the winning track vs. NIU.
