Demon Deacons vs Tigers Final: 37-34 - Recap

Jamie Newman's 328-yard performance through the air was the key in Wake Forest's 37-34 win over Memphis on Saturday at Legion Field.

The Demon Deacons were a +2.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 71.5.

Jamie Newman completed 22 of 40 pass attempts for 328 yards for the Demon Deacons in the win.

Patrick Taylor Jr. rushed for 110 yards for Memphis, while Tony Pollard added 109 yards. Brady White threw for 171 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Damonte Coxie and Joey Magnifico had 70 and 49 yards respectively.

Memphis lost the offensive yardage battle to Wake Forest 529-378 yards in Saturday's game. Wake Forest had more first downs as that total ended up 26-22.

Wake Forest lost the time of possession battle 30:38-29:22, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
